Busy day this past Wednesday at Northwest High School in scenic Cedar Hill, Missouri. First, the best Lions softball team in the history of Northwest High School played the Oakville Tigers in a Sectional Playoff game. Although the game was played at Northwest the Lions were the “visiting” team per the playoff rules set by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA). So having the first chance on offense the Lions wasted no time in establishing dominance on this day! The loudest boom of the day was from FRESHMAN Ella Stichling with a GRAND SLAM. The Lions took the lead and never looked back on their way to a 10-3 victory. Tomorrow, Today, October 28, 2019, the Lions take on Webster Groves in a Quarter Final Game for the chance to go to Springfield, Missouri and the opportunity to play for a state championship! Let’s go Lions! Also, huge shout out to Lions Nation who showed up big for this game! Saw the Lionettes clinging to the fence, cross country runners along the top row of the football/soccer field bleachers, Dave Willis, all the Wilhelms, and tons of alumni represented!
Following the softball game was the annual Kati Fisher Powder Puff Football game. If you know the Fishers, then you know they’re one of the most wonderful group of humans on God’s beautiful earth. If you don’t know the Fishers, well, find a way to meet them! Like I said they’re some of the most wonderful humans ever! Kati Fisher left our world way too soon and God’s gain in heaven was surely our loss here. The Fishers and the Northwest Lions family honor her memory each year at the powder puff football game and raise money for a scholarship in her name. Since the inception of this program the Fisher’s have provided over $100,000.00, that’s over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS! I mentioned the Fishers are amazing humans right??? So we’re making the images from the Powder Puff game all $1.00 digital downloads & all of the proceeds from your orders will go directly from us to the Fishers to honor Kati and help a few more kiddos keep the costs of their college education a bit lower. Shoot, we’ll even include the proceeds if you purchase prints! 🙂 Order as many as you can between now and November 11, 2019.
As usual, we’ll fully edit images upon purchase. The links to both the softball and Kati Fisher Bowl are below!
