Friday night we covered a couple of football games in the area. Mrs. Rigdon was at Lindbergh High School covering the Eureka Wildcats game against the Flyers, while I was at Fox High School covering the game between the Marquette Mustangs and the Fox Warriors. One thing is for sure, the Marquette Mustangs are for real! Marquette running back Chris Kreh is legit. He was all over the place! Fox battled tough all night, but the Mustangs had seemed to have an answer for everything Fox threw at them. Warrior QB Brock Inman looked for openings in their line & downfield and did his best to put the Warriors in a position to win, but the Mustangs are loaded on both offense and defense this season. This week homecoming is upon us for the Warriors as they host Hazelwood East. Last season the Warriors undefeated season was upended by East on a late touchdown by the Spartans.
Shout out to the Fox Warriorettes, Fox Cheer Squad, and Fox Marching band for their pre-game and halftime performances. There are two galleries within the link this week.
